teen dream part 1 | plano senior session

Call me nostalgic, or just desperate to feel cool again, but I have an ongoing love affair with the 90’s. I grew up in the 90’s, and at the time, baggy jeans, flannel and steel-toed boots were my uniform. Nevermind the 100 degree Texas weather or the fact that my 5’1” frame was being swallowed by three-inches-too-long of pants and 2-sizes-too-big of shirts, I could walk around in clothes that appropriately matched my angsty insides. Fast forward to 20… I mean 10 (who’s counting?) years later, and the clothing section of Target looks like it traveled back in time to Hot Topic circa 1996. The husband has had to remind me on multiple occasions that I’m in fact a middle-aged woman and not 15, but that hasn't stopped me from quietly adding some fun items to my wardrobe.

And since the trends now look way better on today’s youth than me today, or even me in the 90’s, I thought it was the perfect time for a senior shoot with those same vibes. I put out a model call and when Natalie responded, I knew she was the one! We had so much fun exploring downtown Plano, and she nailed exactly what I was going for. Enjoy! And keep an eye out for part two of this session, which is coming soon.
